Mission
The Tornillo Elementary and Intermediate art department goal is to introduce and develop student’s artistic skills by using critical thinking, imagination and personal experience. The program allows students to communicate their ideas through a variety of artwork and media, while expressing and challenging their personal thoughts and understanding. Students will examine, appreciate and create artwork through the guidance of the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills and are encouraged to participate in a variety of art contests and the annual art show.
